SEPTEMBER 2009 NEWS UPDATE..... OFFICIAL....KIDZ STUFF BROKE THE WORLD RECORD FOR THE LARGEST CUSTARD PIE FIGHT...... CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERY CHILD WHO PARTICIPATED
Kidz Stuff is over for another year !! We would like to thank everybody involved for making it so successful... especially our sponsors Hawkin's Bazaar, Kinder Hotels, Huggies and Steven's Vauxhall ; Mercury Radio, The Resident Newspaper, West Sussex County Times, The Capitol Theatre and e-mango for supporting us with publicity and ticket sales ; Horsham District Council for their help and support; the crew, artists and ... most of all...our visitors.
Thanks to the 251 children who took part in our attempt on the World's Largest Custard Pie Fight ...and for their mums and dads who had to get the custard out of their hair and clothes afterwards !! We will post here when we receive news as to whether or not the official adjudicators ratify the attempt. However the worldwide publicity that the attempt received was quite beyond our wildest dreams.
We would also like to especially thank all of the organisations who helped make our day for children with special needs and their friends and families another day to remember .... including West Sussex County Council, Springboard, Special Kids in the UK, Kangaroos, Amaze in Brighton, and the National Childbirth Trust.
As part of Kidz Stuff this year, Horsham Rotary Club ran a Shop Window Competition in Horsham throughout the half term school holiday. Thanks to all of the 28 shops that allowed their windows to be used and to Horsham District Council for their help in promoting the event. Hundreds of children scoured the windows to find the mystery objects and attempt to claim the prizes on offer. Congratulations to the winners.... £50 prizes went to Samuel Smith, Ben Pitts and Ellen Macrae; and £25 prizes went to Robert Reeves, Jessica Collett and Lauren Setterfield.
The Rotary Club of Horsham and Terbell Ltd will now start the task of organising next year's show which will be held in Horsham Park on June 4 th - 6th...we hope to see you there.

We've just got home from the most fantastic day ever!! I have two children who are tired but happy. They both participated in the custard pie event and it was great seeing kids be kids. Perhaps next year you could have a separate one for adults??
